About the project

The Museum of Torture presents visitors with authentic reconstructions of the instruments of torture that were legally used in European criminal trials in centuries past - the disturbing nature of the place strongly influenced the atmosphere of the website itself.

We encourage you to take a look at the creation process of this unique website.

Creating a prototype - a mock-up of a website for the museum

The first step in the process of creating a landing page for the Torture Museum was the development of a prototype, otherwise known as a mock-up of the site. This stage consisted of preparing an initial visual concept that depicted the main layout of the site, before we even started working on the design.

We use tools such as Figma or Miro for this. Thanks to these platforms, we can visually represent the entire architecture of the site at a very early stage with our clients. This allows us to effectively communicate and modify our concepts. Even at the initial stage, we determine the placement of various sections, text, graphics, videos and call-to-action buttons.

When creating a landing page for the museum, it was crucial for us that it encourage ticket purchases and be informative. We wanted users to be able to freely find information about the museum's exhibitions and attractions. We incorporated various forms of presentation, from client-provided photographs to specially prepared video content, which was designed to show the atmosphere visitors might experience when visiting the museum. The content was prepared in a humorous tone.

During the development of the prototype, we take great care to communicate regularly with our customers. After this stage was completed, we organized a video call where we presented our solutions and provided clear instructions on how the client can give us feedback.

Graphic design of the website

In the implementation of the graphic design of the website for the Museum of Torture We focused on creating an intriguing atmosphere. Aiming to reflect the unique nature of the exhibition, we designed the site in dark mode tones, where a dark background blends harmoniously with lighter lettering, bringing visitors into the dark atmosphere of the museum. From the moment the user enters the site, he or she is confronted with an image of an executioner holding two skulls, with flames spreading from them in the form of video footage. This introduction is complemented by background video footage showing the atmosphere inside the museum. The site is dynamic and encourages potential visitors to explore.

How was the graphic design created?

The CTA buttons stand out in a blood red hue to effectively guide users to add tickets to their shopping cart. In addition, the site's design features unique elements, including mysterious characters, chains and textures that resemble old, worn-out fabrics.

Using the Figma tool, we ensured efficient communication with the client, which allowed us to easily make corrections and efficiently adapt the graphic design to the client's expectations.

Implementation

Coding the website

Coding the museum's website was a critical step in finalizing its creation. For this we used the Page Builder Elementor tool, which is gaining popularity due to its dynamism and ease of use. Elementor is not only user-friendly, but also allows you to modify the page yourself. Our flexible approach to coding in this tool makes it easy for the client to customize the site according to their own needs, without having to seek external support.

We value providing clients with the ability to manage and modify their site themselves. This allows them to effectively adapt the site to current market requirements and visitors' expectations, without being dependent on permanent cooperation with an agency - it gives them a full range of control and autonomy.

At the stage of coding the site, we introduced a number of functionalities, to make it even more useful to visitors and increase its business efficiency.

Ticketing system

The site is equipped with a module for selling tickets, which come to the customer's email in the form of a QR code. Visitors can add tickets to a shopping cart, choose their quantity and type.

In addition, for those who need a TIN invoice - we have implemented such a function and it is integrated with the client's accounting system.

During the purchase process, visitors can provide their contact information and information about specific participants, and all payments are handled by PayU and BLIK systems.

Location - integration with Google business card

For those who want to visit the museum, we have integrated the site with the company's Google business card. This makes it easy for visitors to see the exact location of the museum on a map and get directions.

 Contact form

We have created a contact form so that visitors can easily get in touch if they have questions or suggestions.

Feedback section integrated with Google

In order to build trust, we have added a section with customer reviews. What's more, these reviews are automatically downloaded from Google, so they are always up-to-date and reflect the authentic experience of visitors.

Multilingualism

Keeping in mind the potential popularity of the museum among tourists, we also implemented a multilingual option. Users can easily switch between English and Polish to customize the site's content according to their language needs.
